Mounted the remote control unit under the center solar panel on top of the bimini. Now all the bimini work is done. There should not be any more items going up on the bimini. One less place to work at.July 2012 - Currently At Marina Cortez Harbor Island, San Diego, CA
While we were doing the wire routing we tied up the new DSC antenna for the SSB also.
We made all the wires black coming from the remote to the lazerett where we will re connect to a red and white wire for the rest of the run. This way all the wires on the bimini frame routed to the boat are matching black.
We re-routed the
wires to the side angled brace on the stern rail to get them away from the
outboard engine. There will be a 8 or 10 hp hopefully Honda out board engine
mounted there later.
There is a 10 amp fuse for the remote control unit and we
made it accessible at the solar panel.
The remote mounts on some Velcro so in case we need to remove
the solar panel for a hurricane alert then it comes off easily.
The blue wire is the antenna.
We used our new handy dandy snips to cut the wire ties. They got good and close leaving no left over bitters on the ties.
