Plumbing -leaks fixed?, bilge pump and Mermaid HVAC line - 2012

2012 Marina Kona Kai Shelter Island San Diego, CA
Long hose on top left is AC line in.
We worked on the plumbing more at the fresh water pump. We have a couple small leaks and we tried to fix them. I think we got them but am not sure yet. One was a hard plastic gray hose that I cut at an angle instead of straight. It cause a leak. I re-cut it and put a new fitting on it.

The other was a bronze hose barb that needed tightening. It took a couple turns and I think it stopped leaking.  Not sure until a little time passes.
As we did this we ran a ½ hose to the Mermaid Marine Air 12000 btu AC\Heat unit in the salon. This will connect to an old through hull where there was old engine driven refrigeration. The through hull will need replacing.
We will install the AC strainer, pump and new through hull here. Also the Whale Gulper Bilge IC Pump.

We also engineered where and how we are going to setup our new every day bilge pump (Whale Gulper Bilge IC Pump). It will go under the floor board by the sink. We have a 1978 Freepoert and the newer ones do not have this access if you are wonder where your is. This will be a good spot as it will keep the engine space clear and the pumps and strainer will be easy to access here.

  2. Does your air conditioner seem to be working extra hard to provide you with cold air? Do you have to crank it up to full blast just to get a fraction of the cooling power you got when the unit was brand new? It can be tempting to postpone repairs in this case, because after all, you are still getting some cool air. Toronto Air Conditioning Repair

  3. Sometimes a situation is seen where steam or boiling water comes from the valve, or we hear rumbling sounds. In such cases, shutting the heater off at once is the best solution to avoid any kind of problems. Columbus water heater repair
