Whale Twist Deck Shower Stern shower is mounted - not plumbed - did not work out - 2011

There was not a lot of decision making on where to install it in this area. 

 The stern shower got placed into the fiber glass. We did not get it completely installed yet. It is where it will be but not plumbed up yet. July 2012 - Currently at Marina Kona Kai  Shelter Island San Diego, CA  

This shower did not work out because the water pump is not big enough to push the water through the hot\cold part of the shower. So we replaced it.

There is a ledge on the back side of this spot so it had to about here within a couple inches.

Ouch!

 The hose and shower are just thrown into the lazarett as you can see at this point.

 We drilled a 3 1/2” hole for it and placed it in and tightened up the clamps.  

All done - now to get it working :)

You could even shower while sitting on the helm seat. 

Just imagine, sailing down wind and showering at the same time! 

We had envisioned standing on the stern steps or sitting on the wood grate with your legs on the steps and showering but there are a lot of options.

 We tried it out (dry shower while standing in the cockpit) and it seems like this will work great.
