Last of salon big windows installed! - 2012

July 2012 - Marina Cortez San Diego, CA
Our plan over the 4th was to install the rest of the salon windows, four. First Debbie tested the sealant as it was out of date.

She let it sit overnight and tested the skinning; it was good to go so we were too.
After Debbie prepped the area with drop cloth etc we removed the inside window frames.
Then it was the same drill as before, cutting the butle-type sealant out and praying out the windows.
Then it was the time consuming clean up of the frames.
All the frames on the windows (10 in all) were in good shape. No rot or anything else to be concerned with.
We dry fitted in the windows. They were a little tight in a couple spots.
We had to pull out the rasp and trim off some on this corner and a few other spots for both windows.
The windows need to fit in freely so the screws will pull them in tight.
Windows ready to go.
Debbie cutting off excess head liner.
Debbie prepping for sealant.
Those are still the old front windows as we had painted the frames.
Debbie got the first window installed and screwed in tight. I am checking for space, there was none, great job Debbie!
Again Debbie got the second window installed and I was checking for tightness. Not much left to turn on theses screws.
All done! Just and easy...not!
Yea!
