First we had to flake it out on the port side deck.

We thought we may have to use wire ties to hold the marking in the line but we did not. The box is the markings we picked up from Downwind Marine in San Diego, CA.
Our stern anchor is a Fortress FX-16 with the amount of chain that is recommended for this anchor by Fortress which I think is 8-12 feet and then 270 feet of 6 plat anchor line by Lewmar
We used the Marlin Spike on my rigging knife along with a threader Debbie has for getting line in a sewing pocket. That worked really good. Took a few markers then w had it down. The line is 270' and now is nicely marked/\. We previously had marked it with a permanent maker but it was hard to read.
