I built our extended run hose from parts we purchased from Amazon and the local hydraulic shop. This is for our Honda EU2000i generator and our Achilles LSI-310E dinghy Honda 9.9 hp outboard outboard engine fuel tank.
January 2019 -We are currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta
These parts and the hose we purchased from Amazon .
At the hydraulic shop (in Las Juntas, Jalisco), we got an elbow for the cap.
That's because I do not know exactly where or how the extended
gas tank will be placed nearby the Honda EU2000i generator.
Original hose we purchased.
Our Extended run fuel line we built - installing an in-line fuel filter.
I also changed the fitting on the Honda 9.9 hp outboard motor
fuel tank to one we purchased.
And also the one on the Honda 9.9 hp outboard motor
fuel hose to connect to that fitting.
This way, both hoses, the extended run hose and the Honda 9.9 hp outboard fuel hose
can be swapped out without changing anything.
An example would be:
We come back from town in the Achilles LSI-310E and get back on the boat, s\v Elegant'sea. We decide later we want to have some air conditioning as it is hot. We then disconnect the Honda fuel tank from the Honda 9.9 hp outboard and take the tank from the dinghy to the bow where the Honda EU2000i generator is. Then we take the extended run hose cap for the Honda EU2000i and put it on replacing the one that is on it. We then connect the extended run hose to the Honda EU2000i generator and the Honda fuel tank and we are all set to run the A/C all night if we so wish. The Honda EU2000i internal tank holds almost a gallon. The Honda external fuel tank holds about 2.6 gallons.
And when we are done with that, we take the fuel tank back to the dinghy and we're ready to go again....probably to the gas station :)
Ok, now for the test...well that will take awhile before we haul out the Honda EU2000i generator but will let you know how it all goes!
