January 2019 -We are
currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
Sweaty job even in the winter.
I had written into the Cruisers Forum asking if the muriatic acid
would harm our march pump. The consensus was it will not.

I simple removed the 1\2" hose from the fresh water flush and added the bilge pump bucket flush hose instead. I created the system from the through hull valve up through the Sherwood sea strainer, march pump and Mermaid Marine Air 5200 HVAC and back into the bucket.

Barnacle Buster can also be used to clean the seawater cooling system of the motor.
The green return line can be seen here.
We have a wire tie on the hoses to keep the return line from jumping out of the bucket.
This is now on fresh water rinse.
You can see the dark liquid in the bucket (Barnacle Buster).
The difference in the colors.
After the flush we tested the flow of water and it was better. We also tested the cooling of the air from the Mermaid Marine Air 5200 btu HVAC unit and it was cooler. The air should blow at least 15 degrees cooler than the cabin air is. This was happening.
There are videos of Barnacle Buster on Youtube.
