We had to shut off one 135-watt solar panel...too much electricity - 2109

While anchored here in the Bahia de Navidad Lagoon we had to turn off one of our Kyocera Solar KD-135GX 135 Watt 12 Volt Solar Electric Panels. Yes, our 485 watts of solar panels are cranking out the electricity. The extra electricity goes to our hot water heater. We took a shower on-board yesterday and the hot water was scalding HOT!

April 2019 - We are currently anchored in Bahia de Navidad Lagoon, Mexico

Of course, we mixed it with cold water at the shower head. We also run two-110v fans in the cabin during the day while we are on the boat as it warms up in the afternoon. Still, we are at 14.30 charged volts all day. So, we shut off one of our 135 panels off. Nice problem to have. Our Blue Sky Energy inc Solar Boost 3024iL DUO is doing its job! We did call Blue Sky Energy Inc and they said the solar controller would not over-charge the batteries, but still we shut one off solar panel off because we were more worried about the  Seaward F600 hot water heater that we had installed way back in 2012.
At night, when we have a breeze here at anchor, which has been often, our Air Breeze wind generator keeps the batteries up. We wake up fully charged...well, our batteries do, anyway!
It is April 21, 2019 - the days are warm and the nights are cool here in the Bahia de Navidad Lagoon, The summer heat has not arrived yet😁
