This is Trident 1\2 hose we purchased from Marine Exchange back in 2012. This is under the galley sink area and, of course, we installed a valve before the hose.
That means we can turn on the valve and still use the stern shower for washing off after swimming. We can still take a saltwater bath😜 and then rinse off with the freshwater stern wash down. We will fix this during the summer when we are by some hose resources.
This hose run is the longest we have on the boat, about 15' I think.Could that be the reason for the hose going bad? We will post any details we find out from Trident Marine.
Expanding Trident 1\2" hose. We did have two hoses running from here - as you can see, the valve for the hot water blocked off. That shower mixer did not work out..
The hose is also swollen here inside the rear starboard lazerett
where the wash down is and is leaking.
The hose could be facing further aft.
Like this😁
With our newly purchased New Found Metals Deck Wash Angle Connector(s),
the hose inserts a little far down to the teak grate.
We will rotate the wash down (when we redo the "1\2" hose) so inserting the hose
will be easier. Also then when inserted, it will face the stern more. Not a big deal
but it will make this even easier😎

We found this to be leaking on our passage from Bahia de Navidad to Santiago as we heard the bilge pump going off. We usually have a dry bilge and this was not normal to hear the bilge pump. The leak was small but it is our fresh water.
How the wash down hose looks now hooked up.The hose could be facing further aft.
