Anchored in Santiago Mexico with visit to the Palma Real Hotel - 2019

Debbie and I paddled our Ocean Kayak Malibu Two by The Argyll/San Luciano wreck from s\v Elegant'sea and then up the channel to the beach inside. Then we went up to the Palma Real Hotel on the hill and had breakfast. Good fun. After, we took a beach walk. Nice to see everyone having fun, including ourselves!.
April 2019 - We are currently anchored in Santiago, Mexico
We had gone in a couple days ago to the beach in the surf
and dumped the kayak as we were going in.
I think I mis-timed the wave and ended up surfing it and broaching. Nothing happened except we got wet. We did not get hit or hit anyone on the beach. The kayak got a lot of sand in it and one hatch cover was not secured properly so some sand and water got inside the kayak. After some clean up it was ready for use again. We found showers on the beach papala and for 10 pesos each (about 50 cents) we got fresh water showers. Only cold water but that was fine as it is the tropics. Then we did our beach walk etc.
Debbie before we walked to the hotel (Palma Real Hotel).
The little beach where we landed the kayak.
Then we walked across the bridge and up to the Palma Real Hotel.
The jet skies they rent at the beach are kept up in the estuary.
They are coming out now and will be out on the beach
for rent, then will be buzzing our boat!

This pool has a mote running around it.
Debbie, as we walk up the hill.
I/We had always wanted to check out this hotel!

That dot is s\v Elegant'sea.
This is where we had breakfast.
They have a "special" breakfast for 90 pesos (about $4 USD) - choice of eggs with ham or bacon or chilaquiles & eggs served with a bolillo, beans, fruit plate and juice.  It was yummy!  They told us they are open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
