Actually Debbie did most of the work. It was not easy. You have to work upside
down and cannot see where to drill or screw in the screws. Debbie first held
the light in place while I drilled the first hole. I could not get the screw in
so she took over. After getting the screw in (not easy) she drilled the next
hole and screwed that side of the bracket it. Then we finished it off helping
each other.
Spill over fan and LED light strip wiring.
Not the neatest job and not sure how it will hold up with food
and all inside the refer but it can be modified if needed.
Note:
This Frigoboat refer box and lids, lights and Dow Blew board insulation have all worked out great in the hottest of times in the tropics of the Mexican Riviera, (2018).
Hard to work on things that you can hardly see and get at. The fan is connected with plugs which may need some heat shrink to not get unplugged but we will see. No need to over engineer it.
This is the freezer side with the 5" LED light strip on.
We did not have the rear freezer hatch on, it is being worked on.
We used the forward one slid back
Not bad 😎.
We then wired the three lights together and connected them to #16
wire. We hooked the wire to test leads to check it out. Lights up the
refer\freezer nice!
The refer side.
Looking under the refer shelf.
Looking under the refer shelf.
We put a towel on the shelf to cover the bottom 10" LED light strip because that is what food would do.
This light is great for getting what you need out of the refer. Even on a sunny day there can be darkness in there.
10" LED light strip under shelf, the top is just a reflection of it on the shelf.
