Our newly cut sliding doors work fine. The
one we trimmed did not go in as easy as we liked but it will not have to come
out if but rarely. We could sand the edge more but it is not worth it.
As
for the hole it works fine. The outer sliding door slides no problem with the
key in and the inner one slides fine if the key is turned in the on position.
That is all we need. That covers all scenarios and will keep the rain from draining
down from the lazerett cover channel into the gauges. This will also protect
the gauge’s. We will hunt down a rubber ball or something that does not absorb
water and plug the hole when not in use.
The
key will get a detachable key chain with a float. You can stuff the float
inside the doors but that is really not needed. If we want to remove the float
we can and if not it is fine but the option will be there.
