Debbie arriving home from work.
She is looking at the engine gauge door covers.
November - Currently at Marina Cortez Harbor Island, San
Diego, CA
When
Debbie got home from work she changed and then got right into the port lazarette.
She has been spending a lot of time there. Then she forgets and has some pain
or cramps and wonders why, oh yeah it was the lazarette time. I know from being
there myself that it can get mighty uncomfortable in a short time. That’s my
excuse for Debbie to do the honors, I am too big. There is not a flat space
there and your feet, legs, back and joints all get twisted into places you did
not think they could. Then an hour later the cramps come on, oh why am I
cramping, oh ya, dah.
First, we
cleaned out the stuff in the lazarette,
swearing there needs to be another trip to the storage locker for this stuff.
Debbie moved the evaporator plate tubing and
coiled it by the aft part of the lazarette.
Then wire tied up the sensors and wiring for the
Frigoboat refer\freezer.
Debbie
then measured for the 5’ feet max that the keel cooler (KC) can be from the
compressor and decided on the best location possible for the KC that would
protect it and keep it deep as possible. After some more debating she marked
the spot and came out for air.
Ugly down there in the corner.
This is the corner by the fuel tank, refer wall
and hull. It is a mess. The old engine exhaust hose used to run through that
hole. There looks to be some kind of scupper below it.
Hay, I see a leg.
Then there is the old engine ground to stern windlass cable. It needs pulling. Soon it will get pulled out and new stern windlass cables run. But it is refer time now so on with the KC.
In the Lazarette.
