The teak and holly sole is coming along beautifully. Owen is doing a real bang up of a job, looks great.
Owen pointing.
Seen here is Owen and I checking the deck out. Owen has the hat on. Debbie is taking the pictures.
Owen put in two 3/4 inch pieces of solid teak for the step face running it up high enough to meet the hatch.
Shown here it has two coats of epoxy on it. It will get sanded and have a few coats of varnish put on and then it will be smother. At this point it still has some dust in the epoxy. Not a big deal as it still needs sanding again.
After taking to the FOGgers group we realized that Islander Yachts put the two starboard side hull parts to the deck in straight. They did not follow the contour of the hull. This was giving us fits because the lines were getting screw up. After realizing the side decks were flat Owen has started on them as you see.
As you can see we are still yet to put in hatch pulls.
Here is a drawer from the head to show how the deck matches up with the rest of the teak.

It is hard to tell in the pics and video but the holly lines line up perfectly with each other thought the deck.
