Dish Network setup

The Dish guy came by and installed a dish. It is on the cement piling at our slip. Ours is an inside piling by the starboard bow.

It was high tide so it was a bit easier :)

Then we snaked the cable through to the receiver. The cable disconnects by the 110 volt shore power cord.    There was an old mick plug there we removed to have access for the cable.

This is only till we set sail then it will go away, the Dish Network. But for now we have Showtime, HBO and Cinemax plus a variety of other channels.

The HD DVR reviver is a big piece of junk we did not really want. But to make the whole thing work it needs to be there and the remote needs to see it. We decide to set it on it's side for now. After moving on and using it a while maybe we can find a better way to hide it.
We are not big on TV but like movies and some soaps like Dexter and Mad Men etc. WiFi at the boat sucks se were went with the Dish. We will tether the Droid X work phone to the work laptop for internet. Not fast enough to stream movies but otherwise works well.
The HD comes in real nice.
We are thinking of having movie knight once a week on our boat with other dock mates, seems fun.
