Trip to glass shop for new head vanity mirrors - 2020

Debbie talking with the guys as our mirror we brought is on the table.
We originally replaced these mirrors in the head back in 2010. They are starting to show their age so we decided to replace them again. So about 10 years on a set of mirrors...not bad. Seeing as they are essentially outside a lot (hatch open and port holes open) they held up fine.

We grabbed some spare hoses to run the test. The old original to the boat (1978)  Jabsco Model 6600j (now 36600) worked great after the rebuild! This is our third electric bilge pump. We have a Whale Gulper IC Diaphragm Bilge Pump for our every day pump and a Rule 2000 bilge pump for a high water pump and this pump for extreme water intrusion. PSS shaft seal completed and did sea trial - 2020

Our rebuilt PSS Type A Shaft Seal did a bit of dripping on our way back to the marina. It will take a bit of adjusting. We thought it best to let it seat itself in and then adjust it more. That is compressing the rubber a bit more. The machine shop faced off the end to the stainless steel coller and the stainless steel collar. They also buffed up the collar to look like new.

Bottom job - Boat all finished and splashed 9/11/2020
