Opequimar boat yard blister pictures - 2020

Most of the bottom paint has been removed and a bit of sanding done.
By peeling off the blister like an orange the water then comes out. They are not deep but there are a heck-of-a-lot! Plus the bigger ones.
September 2020 - s\v Elegant'sea Is in the  Opequimar boat yard in Puerto Vallarta
We will be out of the water for 12-14 days. Not enough time to grind it all down and let it dry out 2-3 or more months and a different time of year. This will get all the major and minor blisters.
The blisters will get feathered in by sanding then sprayed with Acetone to evaporate the water then epoxied.
Jorge showing us the blisters as he cut them open.
These were just opened blisters.
The smaller white circled spots are blisters that need cutting open to drain.

Just out of the water.

This is the head sink drain (through-hull)
Theactual water line. We have a higher water line because we spend so much time at anchor. The rougher water washes up past the marina-type water line, getting growth and whatever on the hull. Not with our higher water line though.

Skeg rudder joint bottom.
Bottom of skeg and rudder joint. It has bronze showing.
Top edge of rudder and skeg joint...It is a bit eaten away..

Looking through the plastic you can see water draining from the cut-open blisters.
