Anchor chain bracket: bolts in, done! - 2020

Debbie did the tightening of the nuts and bolts in the chain locker inside
while I held the bolt still in the anchor locker up on deck.
August 2020 - We are currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
All done!
We used double fender washers then a lock washer and nut. The fender washers were not that thick from the fastener shop so we doubled them up.
Not a recent photo but this is the shop in Mescalez.
Outside in the anchor locker.
All sealed up and ready for cleanup.
This is how it would work for dead dropping the anchor.
The wheel is used to hold the chain down into the gypsy.  We use a chain stopper while anchored but the bridal really does the job of holding the chain to the boat. If it were to fail then the chain stopper would take over. We never use the Lewmar H3 Anchor Windlass to hold the chain and anchor in place.
Without the wheel is how we use or do not use the bracket for every day anchoring.
We just use the bracket for dead dropping the anchor and chain down 70-90 feet to untwist the chain. If we do not use the bracket the weight of the chain and anchor starts to pull the anchor chain out of the chain locker skipping through the windlass gypsy and it is dangerous!.
