Stateroom prep for varnishing of the bed area: Part 1 - 2019

We are currently house sitting in a condo at the El Tigre Golf Course Paradise Village, Nuevo Vallarta . This gives us the opportunity to remove the foam matress and the FROLI® bed springs. This picture is of the headboard area.
Stateroom varnishing of the bed area - Part 2- 2019

June 2019 -We are currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
First, Debbie removed the cabinet doors and some other items. We pulled out the Mermaid Marine Air FX-1 Digital Comfort Control Thermostat from the bulkhead. We still want to use the A/C while working😀. We left the two reading lights in place and left the Caframo Bora 12V Marine 3 Speed Fan   in place, dangling.
The FX-1 Digital Comfort Control Thermostat is just hanging. This area behind the bulkhead is where the keel stepped mast is and the dorad hose that goes into the Beta Marine engine space.
First, we sprayed TSP on the bulkhead and then used #220 sandpaper, then more TSP etc.  Also, sprayed on fresh water then wiped it all off several times.
As the teak dries it looks lighter and cleaner.
This is the area we cleaned and prepped so far.
Up to the chain plates by the cabinet. Now to tape when it is dry and start varnishing with satin. As you can see, we have previously done some of the trim in gloss.
