June 2019 -We are
currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
The third coat was a full coat (100 percent varnish) and went on fine. Then because we were going on a Northbound two day one overnight passage I put on another coat the next morning. That was a bit quick I think. There is some crinkling in spots so now we will need to wait a couple weeks or more for it to cure then sand and back to putting on more coats. It is looking not too bad though😊
When we got back to Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay we had our boat washed (s\v Elegant'sea) and had them take off the blue tape as it would have been on too long.

The "mad" scientist 😜
We have perhaps enough varnish left in the can for another coat.
Taken by Debbie from inside the boat.
When we got to Paradise Village Marina we put the line rub strakes back on.
We went to the nut and bolt shop in Mezcales and picked all new
stainless steel screws and washers for the line rub strakes. The washers
we put under the strakes to help prevent them from digging into the varnish.
