Cockpit LED lights purchased for boarding etc - 2019

Partsam 2pcs 3" inch Round Navigation Lights Chrome Boat Marine Clear Lens Blue 6-2835-SMD LED Transom Mount Stern Anchor Lamps 12V Flush Mount,IP67 Waterproof (Pack of 2). These we will try out to light the entry\exit of the cockpit while at the dock and from the water taxi etc.
June 2019 -We are currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)

One will go to light the companionway door lock and the other to light the entry into the cockpit from the deck.

They come out of the chrome bezel and that is what we will probably do is take them out and mount them on the 1" SS tubing. They are waterproof  and small.

We have tried this mast light with LED bulb. It plugs with a cigarette liter plug. The sensor was broke.

 We put a shade on it. It looks good with good ambience but the plug gts rusty and I hit it once in a while.

We  tried these LED stips with solar but they run out of juice and they are just too much for us.

We do have these courtesy lights in the cockpit but they do not help boarding from the side. They work great for boarding from  the swim step or sailing an overnighter though.

 We thought about a sundown\sun up sensor but do not want the lights on while we are in the salon. So just a simple on\off switch will do. Or I i forget to turn them on then possibly the sensor will get installed. We really do not use a cockpit light that much but when the days are short.
