R. W. Little called and the wind generator mounting pole was done so we stopped by and picked it up. I really wanted to get the mounting struts for it after sizing it up but Hinze our dock mate talked me out of it. The struts need to be at leats 2 feet lower than the top of the pole and at less than 3 feet from the top of the pole. The long one going along the port side will need to go just under the bimini. We decided to mount the solar panels on top of the bimini first so that we can better determine the clearance for the wind generator. So for now we dropped the pole off at the storage locker boo hoo.
That means the solar panel mounting project has taken on new meaning J Besides we never know when the old house batteries will quit and we will buy new AGM’s so it would be nice to have the panels in place. Besides it needs to be done and we can work it in with the other side projects. As it is we are looking at glassing the refer on Thursday night Saturday I will be moving the hot water heater over so we can finish the engine water plumbing. Also that will create the needed space for the 12,000 BTU AC\Heat unit that will go there.
