Screen/scoop for the thru hulls purchased - 2024

    At least two screens/scoops for the thru hulls are broken on the bottom of the boat. They are missing at least one tooth of the screen. We decided to pick up one #5 scoop and some screws for it. It is for a 3/4 thru-hull at San Diego Marine Exchange.

   We also decided to remove the scoops on the two HVAC's and the one on the anchor wash down pump. We do not use these while underway, so we do not need the scoops. They are not likely to get clogged with anything as they are not by the waterline. Anyway, if it turns out to be an issue we can always add them back on. The new scoop will be in case one of the broken ones is, say, the raw water intake for the Beta diesel motor or water maker etc. We are not sure what shape the others are in other than they do not have any broken parts. I just remember seeing the broken tooth on a couple of screens/scoops.
