Water tank gauge

Our water gauge system is a couple hoses attached to the water tanks. This was done by the PO. We bought some new house from Home Depot and put on new SS clamps.


It seems to work OK. It will over flow to the bilge if you over fill the tanks through the top of the hose.


We are not sure yet if the hoses over flow on healing while sailing. Could be we need to close the little valve at the top of the hose when sailing. Not a big deal as we need to get into the engine area anyway to turn on the fuel before sailing (starting motor).
We will add new gauges to the tanks when we re-power. At that time we will have plenty of room to get at the tanks. That will be in 2011.
