New cockpit cushions - 2022

 Our new cockpit cushions came yesterday. On time and on budget! Probably a first for many years now. We worked with Tapiceria Sandoval (aka Emmanuel) - Alder and Vidal. We had them made thicker and they seem comfy.

  The two side ones can be flipped so they fit either side and the same with the stern ones. Our old cushions, which were probably original so they would be 44 years old, could not keep my butt off the top of the lazarette. The foam inside the old ones was still looking not so bad and they have been soaked inside and out many times. They were not ripped but they could not be unzipped as the zippers were broken. The fabric was tuff but stained and marked up. I wrecked one by using acetone to clean a spot, oops.
