Mermaid 5200 btu ac unit needs work - 2022

This morning we are flushing our Mermaid 5200 btu HVAC system so that when the a/c guy gets here it is all done. We just did this in January as we would not be using it for many months. We also then flush it with fresh water, so it sits in that till it is time for us to use it again.
November 2022 - s/v Elegant'sea is currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
It seems as though the system needs a freon charge, next to nothing for cold air, maybe a leak? The a/c guy would not take my word that there is plenty of cooling sea water coming out the thru hull. So, he is having me do this. Better than paying him to watch the acid flow around for an hour. As you can see, the water with acid is clean. Usually by now, 10 min or so it would be real dark, so it is clean inside the system. Also, here in the estuary marina a lot of dark water gets pumped through the system, so it clings to the cooling pipes.

We also have a Mermaid 12000 btu HVAC unit that works great and keeps us chilly. And for good measure we have a window 5000 btu Mirage unit for the light work. Our Stateroom 5200 we like to use at night as it keeps the electric bill low, no need to do the whole boat if we are sleeping. Both Mermaids will run on our Honda 2000 genset in echo mode, one at a time. We installed "Easy Starts" to make that possible.

Anyway, no need for that as we are in a marina. More info than necessary but what the heck.
It turns out our unit does have a leak or a valve that is not working or both.
It also turns out this new ac guy over charges and under delivers. It is really hard to find ac people here, he is from the UK.
