Showing the anchorage with about 30 boats remaining out of 51 at the height of The Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival. We had a good time,...better for us than SailFest, both good yet this was just more fun.
March 2020 - We are currently anchored in Zihuatanejo Mexico
New collaborators, practicing to the right of our merchandise table!
Palo Mango - Rebeca Catalán and Diego Velázquez
AND
Love these impromptu music moments!!
Marina Tomei, from Italy, in the background behind the guitar table - all guitars made in Paracho, the guitar capital of Mexico.
Three of these guitars were raffled off. Each one signed by all the artists at Guitar Fest.
Then after our shift we walked to dinner at the Taqueria El Buen Pastor.
I had the 5 pastor tacos and Debbie had the papas (potatoes).
Then back to the Guitar Fest concert.
On the final night of the 2020 Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival, guitarist Mike Dowling and Marina Tomei were joined by local singer (sorry did not get her name). As the first notes of the song were played, the crowd went wild to realize they were going to play "Shallow" from the 2018 hot movie "A Star is Born". Then once the young woman started singing, the audience was mesmerized with her voice. A star was definitely born!!
Debbie and I are in the pit there dancing, out of the picture I think. All the artists are up on stage at one time playing together for the grand finale.
Debbie and I are under the arrow!
