This tire is coming apart. It has seen too much salt water. The DaNard Dingy
Wheels have been in use for our 8 years of cruising. I think maybe we should replace the tires and wheels after 5 years as preventive maintenance.
March
2020 - We are currently anchored in Zihuatanejo
Mexico
Our first stop to locate a replacement tire
and tube is the Cruiser's Concierge, Ismael and Hilda.
Ismael and Hilda offer other services to the area, too!

Our wheels are DaNard and the replacement tire is 4.80/4.00-8". Lo and behold, Ismael had one sitting on his shelf - another cruiser had left it with him as unwanted. We offered 300 pesos (about $15 USD) which seemed like a fair price. Later, the taxi driver Antonio - who Ismael knew and communicated with about where we might go for the tube replacement - said that was a really good price as the tire usually goes for 700 pesos (or about $35 USD).
This is the view from the sidewalk - we were originally looking for the Kawasaki Dealer
and were directed here instead.
As you can see, they have a lot of every little thing!
Here I am with Antonio, discussing if this was that exact size
we needed as it was written on the label somewhat differently.
A good assortment of fans.
Bicycles and their tire replacements.
Next stop was the place on Hwy 200 that Antonio knew of
that would mount the new tire and tube.
A fruit stand set up on the street in front of the shop.
Another shop that has just about anything you need for a car tire.
This gentleman was efficient and professional. All for 50 pesos (or about $2.50 USD)
Antonio with the finished product!
Debbie and her cart of tires...this is how we schlep our equipment
