The new chain roller mainly is for dropping the anchor 60 to 90 feet down and not hitting the bottom. Then bringing it back up aan we will have no twists in the chain.

This works good for untwisting the chain for us. This roller keeps the chain in the windlass gypsy and so it will not pull it's self out and free fall. It did shake a bit but that was when the anchor hits the bow roller and is being forced over it.
We have a Lewmar H3 Anchor Windlass.
