Achilles chaps started, inflated up on the fore deck on cradle - 2013

October 2013 - currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
Yes sir, Debbie started the dinghy chaps!!
We blew up the Achilles LSI-310E 10.2 dinghy Monday and we put it on a cradle we found made from PVC pipe.

We modified it to hold our dinghy. It is better if it is not sitting on the deck and easier to work on.
We put rubber pot holders under the cradle to help keep it from sliding on the deck.
Then we put some pipe foam from Home Depot that we were using on the solar panel for chafe protection on the PVC for the dinghy to rest on.
Lets remember it is REALLY HUMID and HOT so under the shade it is still way hot. Most work  needs to be done before 12:00 noon at least or after 8:00 pm.

We have previously purchased the Sunbrella (dark gray) and the thread a while back. The chafe material was purchased on Debbie's recent trip to San Diego
(that only Debbie knows what it is).

Debbie marking up the pattern.
Debbie is using some plastic for the pattern as it is inexpensive.

Debbie is following the dinghy chap instructions from Sailrite.

Go Debbie!
This is not an easy project. We are hoping to have them
finished by sailing time, about a month or so.
