Autopilot ready for "Dockside Wizard" - 2013

October 2013 - Currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
This is all up under the cockpit sole, not easy working conditions and the drill we have, a standard 3\8 drill is too big to drill up under the top where the fuel tank is.

The "Brain" is in the middle.
To the right is the GHC™helm control unit and the GHP 12 Electronics Control Unit (ECU) (Brain) is in the middle and the Garmin Course Computer Unit (CCU) is to the right.

The Garmin autopilot is ready for the "Dockside Wizard" to be run. We called Peter the marine electronics guy who helped us install a new Garmin Rudder Sensor and he will be by tomorrow or Wednesdays. We noticed that the Garmin Class A Drive Unit for GHP 12 touches the rudder stop pin on a turn to the starboard.
We got the brain installed again and cabled up to the Garmin Class A Drive Unit for GHP 12 and connected again to the Garmin network.
The "Brain".
You can see the grassed up pulley and cables in the background.
We think this was also true before we moved it. Now we need to find out if this is critical or OK.
Fuel lines on top of the fuel tank are now easy to reach.
Starboard side still needs some doing as you can see over the tank.
The "Brain" under the cockpit sole, screwed and used 3M4000 UV Marine Adhesive .

You can see the Garmin Class A Drive Unit for GHP 12 end touching the rudder stop arm at this steering position on the quadrant..

We grassed the steering cable and staked down the wiring to the brain again and other wiring and ducking for the blower all on the port side. Next we will spend a few more hours in the lazeett doing the same on the starboard side. We want the complete 80 gal fuel tank on out 1978 Islander Freeport to be free of any wiring, cabling and ducking etc.
