We put two through holes in SD while in the water - 2013

Before we left San Diego on the Baja Ha Ha 2012 in October 29th we had two through holes(TH) put in and a screen added to the water maker through hull.January 2012 - Currently at Marina Kona Kai Shelter Island San Diego, CA

One TH for the new Mermaid Marine Air 12000 BTU heat\AC unit and one for a wash down pump. We decided that we did not know how easy it was going to be in Mexico. As it turned out we probably could get it done in PV but not that easy. So we hired two divers at the store near Marine Exchange. It is a few doors down toward Shelter Island and it sells zincs.

They came by and on the inside and one under the hull.

For the pilot hole.

They used air drills to get through the hull. We almost needed the extra long through hulls as the hull is so thick. We have just installed the wash down pump, or got it working. We put it in place before we left but never had time to finish the job. We just got it working.

After the TH’s were installed we put caps on them for safety.
