Anchored in Chamela - Off to sail to Barra de Navidad but first we clean the bottom - 2013

Middle January 2013 - Anchored in Chamela (Perula Bay)

Before leaving we needed to clean the bottom of the boat,(s\v Elegant'sea) at least as much as we could while holding our breath. 

The water line is off by a lot. The stern mostly. The marine life loves to grab the gel coat and it gets hard to clean off. We use a brown Scotch bright type pad and a paint scraper. First I put out a flotty yellow line from the bow which hangs out past the stern for me to grab onto and hold myself in place.

These are fish swimming arround. You have lots of company in the water big and small!
