Old refer thermostat sensor hole filled - 2011

The back bottom of the new lower thermostat.
December 2011 - At Marina Cortez Harbor Island, San Diego, CA

Debbie had the 3M 4000 UV Marine Adhesive  out so we got a hole filled.
There was a hole that went from inside the cabinet behind the stove in the bottom and a by the stern door opening that went all the way into the freezer. This is an easy to forget item as you cannot see it easily. This was the path for the previous engine driven refer cold plate thermostat sensor. We filled the hole as best we could inside the freezer and then added Dow Blew board insulation (about six inches in this spot and then) and then three layers of fiberglass so the hole does not get into the freezer any more. It does however go into the original three inches of insulation and could cause problems with say mold or other issues. Debbie filled it as best she could because you can barely see it. It is now not a problem and will not let water or other matter into the area.
