Getting the drill ready.
This was a simple little project that makes life easier. We have been using the key to open the companion way door to get into the boat. Not always easy and eventually this will probably wreck the lock.
The hardest part, drilling into the nice teak door.
Ouch!
We installed a small
brass knob. It will not hit the window when the door is open and seems to work
nice so far. Just makes life easier and for next to nothing, not much time or energy
on this one 😃

This has worked for us for many years now.
