Mirage 5000 btu window AC unit still working out good - 2021

 This was from two years ago when we did this project.

This system has been working out good for the last two years.

This we made a cardboard pattern for and had the pieces cut out of wood at a carpentry shop in Colimilla (little village) by the Barra marina. We store it in the trunk of our car in Puerta Vallarta and store the car all cruising season. May 2021 - currently in the Marina Puerto de la Navidad (Barra Marina) ,Mexico

 We have two built-in HVAC units so we do not need it but for a dehumidifier while away from the boat. It also takes some of the work off the built-ins as they are harder to replace. We set it on a timer when away and have a fan run for an hour every four hours. No water runs through the boat as would if we used a built-in for this. So when we get back to Puerta Vallarta we plop the ac unit in the hatch and we are good to go. The pink insulation would not hold up well for this.
