Chip & Debbie Willis on s\v Elegant'sea: New tires and tubes for DaNard Dinghy Wheels

These are Truper tires and tubes. Easy to get in Mexico as Truper is very popular here.

July 2020 - We are currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico

Rick on s\v Eyes of the Word told us about the Truper tires. They are a little bigger but easy to find than the DaNard Dinghy Wheels tires. So we will now need to make new covers for the wheels but we were going to do that any way as the ones Debbie made we a bit hard to use. Debbie came up with a new design.

We found one Truper tire at a Truper store by Home Depot and we bought 3 tubes, one as a spare.

Then we went to "Jarreterades" a little town by our marina. We go there off\on for tacos or a night at the square on the weekends as it sometimes has music. Anyway, there is a hardware (Ferreteria) store there of course and it had another Truper tire. Then we went to the tire shop (Llantera) and had them mounted.

As shown above they were in the cockpit and one went Whoosh as the tube blew. It was inflated too much. So the next day or so we went back and he fixed it and we had lunch there or I had lunch there a nice torta! And so it goes with our Summer projects😁👫
