We went to La Casa Del Pescador in Manzanillo. This is small chandlery with items that mainly crossover for both a power boat and sail boat. For instance, each uses zincs and thru-hulls, fishing rods and fenders, etc.
May 2020 - We are
in Marina Puerto de la Navidad (BarraMarina) in Bahia de Navidad, Mexico
We also picked up some courtesy flags and boat soap for a couple boats in the marina.
Arturo, a marina worker who we know, gave us a ride and we also went to La Comer.
La Casa del Pescador did not have the drilless mount kit.
We will most likely only use the dinghy a couple more times this season as we are heading North from here in a couple of weeks, as weather permits...off to Banderas Bay Mexico .
We will wait to install it because it is difficult to reach the outboard from the dock while it is on the big boat and we would need a battery operated drill if we put it on if we took the dinghy to the beach with the dinghy wheels on - we have a corded drill. Besides, we will probably have Luis our mechanic, service the Honda 9.9 hp outboard for next season and he could just put it on. We have enough to do. We have been having Luis service our Honda 9.9 hp outboard and our Beta 28 now for a couple years. This takes some of the work off ourselves.
We purchased this to make our outboard more efficient - at higher speeds, we lose water around the prop.
