Cockpit teak refurbishment started - 2020

This is the helm Binnacle teak deck ring and the underside of the cockpit table. The underside of the table was never varnished and looked bad while at the helm and stern cockpit seats where you could see it.
May 2020 - We are in Marina Puerto de la Navidad (BarraMarina) in Bahia de Navidad, Mexico
The teak ring under the binnacle was needing a stripping and varnish. It has been seven years or more since we used Sikkens Cetol on it.
As you can see this teak at the bottom of the Binnacle is a bit beat up and has black in the Sikkens Cetol.
How they both look now.
First, I removed the teak grate, cleaned it and then put a coat of Teak Wonder on it.
While at the helm or sitting on the stern lazarett, you see the back of the cockpit table. It looks like dirty natural teak and is a bit hard to clean.
Varnishing it would make it easy to clean and it would look nice.
Tried using our bottom scrapper to protect the paint from pealing from the heat gun...I found it was not necessary.
After the first go-round with the heat gun, there still was a film on some varnish left. I tried sanding it but it was too much work so I used the heat gun again and it came off easily.

All sanded and ready for Debbie's taping!
