New Worthington propane tank purchased to replace broken one - 2019

We just purchased a Worthington Pro Grade 11 lb. Propane Tank from Amazon.

One of our old composite propane tanks valve broke. We had two composite 11 lb propane bottles but one came up with a bad valve which left us with only one. 

September 2019 - s\v Elegant'sea is currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)  Currently house/pet sitting in San Diego, CA.

 One tank does ok but it really needs to be refiled a bit too often for my liking. With two 11 lb bottles (which are around 2.3 gallons each), they last us quite a while. We have an automatic switch-over regulator. So when one tank is empty, it switches to the other tank. It then shows a red flag indicating the tank is empty. This new tank is 11 lb but powder-coated steel. It is the only one we could find that would fit in our custom-made-by-us propane box. It weighs little more than a composite bottle.

 We also purchased a gauge for it because unlike the composite bottle you can not see the propane inside to tell how full it is. Actually we need to lift the composite bottle out of the box to see how much propane is in the bottle which is a pain. The issue is how to get the propane tank to Mexico? This year Danny and Deborah on s\v Cyclades will bring down the tank for us in their car - thank you Danny and Deborah!. We shipped it directly to them. They will be in Bahia de Navidad so that's where we will pick it up. It will be one of our many anchorages on the way to Zihuatanejo.

That way I do not have to lift the tank up out of the box to see the amount in it. We purchased two. Just making life easier one step at a time😎
