The new Jabsco (JAB 29450-1701 3017) engine raw water pump got a couple of coats of the Beta Marine red paint. Here I am removing the blue tape.

Debbie taped up the areas not needing paint.

We took off the impeller cover to make sure the impeller
and inside the housing were greased up.
When we install it, we will back-fill it a bit with water but without being greased it could still wreck the impeller without enough lube. Now that would be a shame on the back up pump!
The new Jabsco (JAB 29450-1701 3017) came all greased up nicely.
