June 2019 -We are currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)
Z Spar Flagship Varnish - 2015 Gloss
Z Spar Captain's Varnish - V-975 Satin
The second coat going on. The second coat is a full coat, not thinned. I thinned the first coat to about 80% varnish so it will sink in and bring out the grain.
The area is starting to show some progress.
Hard to get comfy.
This is the port side facing aft. Debbie sleeps here and uses this cabinet.
There is a trash bag where the cane door goes to protect her things.

Got to make sure there are no streaks.
The next day where we had finished the satin varnish, we applied some gloss to the trim.
First coat of gloss on this piece of trim. The cabinet door above is off and will get a coat or two of gloss as I did not like the way it came out before. looked good but could be better and now would be that time to do it. I also replaced a screw in the fan and one in my reading light as they were not holding well.
There are teak shutters that close off the bed area so people could walk by without disturbing you. They will be a "someday" varnishing project.😓
This is the starboard side of the bed and facing the bow. It got prepared for varnishing along with under the mirror. That takes care of all the prepping. Most of the trim we had already varnished a couple\few years ago.
This area is the port side of the bed area as the shelf runs around to the bow end of the bed where we put our feet. The port side got a first coat and the rest is prepped for a first coat.
