Screw holes plugged in the teak helm seat chair arms - 2019

Here I am making the holes the right size for the plugs. It may be they used an impact driver to put the screws in and the hole was not drilled for 3\8" teak plugs. I used an exacto knife to dig out the hole so the plugs would fit better.

June 2019 -We are currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)

The new teak chair arms came back without teak plugs in the screw holes.

The helm seat chair arms came back with putty covering the screw holes. It did not look that great and who knows how long it would hold up.

There are five screws in each chair arm that need plugging.
This was a long process to clean out and shape the holes
nicely enough to get part of a plug in.
Teak plug in and sanded.
Eventually I got all the plugs glued in one at a time and then the next day
clipped them off with a glass hammer and chisel.
 Not sanded yet.
This one in particular was just too small so I used a smaller teak plug.
The screw was also shallow but I got the plug to lay in.
Sanded.
