Our topping lift is removed - 2018

 We had our rigging adjusted by "Eddie" and his helper. Also "Eddie" removed the topping lift. We earlier put paydays on the end of the boom for the sail stack pack as it was connected to the topping lift.

December 2018 -We are currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)

 Eddie is removing the topping lift.

This topping lift line that goes through the boom will stay. We will use it to hold the boom by connecting it to the main sail halyard. The case for that is we are motoring without a sail up in lumpy seas.. That almost never happens because we almost always have at least the main up but just in case. In that case the boom tends to bounce a bit with just the Garhauer Rigid Boom VangRV-20-1SL  
and could hit a solar panel.  

We will hold onto the topping lift cable for a back up.
