Ajijic bull riding rodeo up in the mountains of Mexico - 2018

Yes we went to the Ajijic rodeo (Day of The Charro) in the mountains of Mexico as we are staying here for the summer heat relief. This video is of the pre-rodeo parade in the Ajijic town square.

These young ladies are "las charras", the female version to the "el charro" - 
they practice riding with hobby horses until they are older for the live version!


This is the sombrero ceremony - they receive a sombrero 
as a sign that they are ready to progress in their horse training.
The bull rider just fell off the bull and the bull is chasing him. 
Then they get the bull back in the coral.

I tried the popcorn served up Mexican style. It has hot sauce on top with salt, and lime. They offer other hot sauces also but I declined.. Kinda messy. No butter. It was surprisingly OK or possibly good.I still prefer butter and salt though 😋
