Salon fluorescent lighting, convert lights from fluorescent to LED - 2013

End of October 2013 - s\v Elegant'sea is currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)

We decided to change over all of our salon lights from fluorescent to LED (as previously mentioned in this blog). 

 We found some LED strips that fit right where the bulbs were.  So we took them up to the Paradise Village Marina hospitality suite (where we can relax and do internet in A/C, among other things) to re-wire the "guts" then we take them to the boat for final installation. 

Since Debbie likes to do electrical, she became inventive for installing this one.  It is really a two-person job however one of us was taking a siesta!

 This new light really lights up the area. 

We decided to go with two LED strips to provide enough light to read or eat by.  It also lights up the area in case we need to work under the salon seats on say, the A/C or water heater.

 

 This other light only has one strip in it as this area is near the galley which provides other LED lighting to the area.
