Varnishing up the forward teak eyebrow; ready to set sail - 2020

This eyebrow has sat all summer and needs a little sprucing up. There were a few marks where the varnish was gone. November 2020 - We are currently in Paradise Village Marina in Banderas Bay Mexico (by Puerto Vallarta)

I sanded with #220 then # 320 and then put a coat of Epifanes clear varnish. I will next wait a day and sand with #600 and then add another coat of Epifanes clear varnish . Then wait 4 days, sand with #600 and add a coat of Epifanes clear varnish then do it one more time. So four coats because it was a bit bare.
Our boat is a 1978 Islander Freeport 36' sail boat. In about 1980 Islander Yachts started to make some changes to the Islander Freeport because they were expensive to build.  One of the items was this forward and upper eyebrow. Islander stopped making the eyebrow go all the way around. They just had the straight sides from then on. These take a bit of good labor to do the journey work to make them go around the front of the coach roofs.

This is the first coat after sanding with #220 then with #320. It looks like glass. That's what we want. Now for a few more coats. Next sand with #600 then coat then wait 4 days then do the same two more times.
