Wow, what a difference some years makes!!! We're anchored in Chamela (Perula Mexico) where a simple click on the TelCel website, a hundred pesos (for the modem location change) and we're back in business with high-speed internet. No more using the old technology of the bands ancha USB stick!! Or using the phone as a hotspot. We do have an outside antenna that we connect the modem to for help boosting the signal. Works great!!

One of these gender changers we used to hook up our outside Wi-Fi antenna to the modem. It may not matter but we have it so we are using the outside antenna. It can only help.
