So, I am washing the chain while hauling anchor and all of a sudden the wash-down stopped working. At first I thought it was the pump but Debbie thought the thru-hull got clogged, maybe with a plastic bag.
March 2020 - We are currently anchored in Las Hadas in Manzanillo Bay, Mexico 
So we tested the thru-hull by opening the valve without the hose connected. Well, first we removed the cover to the sea strainer but no water came out when we opened the valve.
We poked at it with a stainless steel wire and water would periodically come out.

After lots of poking and twisting and pulling a piece of what looked like cloth
came out. It was part of a fish!

Yep it must have gotten sucked into the thru-hull and got stuck.
Anyway, happy ending as it is all working again, not so happy for the fish.

This made us realize we did not have any spare parts for this pum. The pump now is about eight years old. So we will get a rebuild kit next opportunity.
