12 v cig liter outlet installed in anchor locker - 2010

The previous owner had cut a hole in the port top part of the anchor locker. We decide to use it rather than cover it.
I wanted to be able to hang a low draw anchor light off the bow while in Mexico and beyond to keep the panga fishing boats from ramming us.
To this end we installed a cig lighter plug in that whole.

Note: 

This turned out not to be such a great idea. We did not use it as expected and it eventually corded up. We sealed it with with 3M 4000 UV Marine Adhesive. 

The wires I coated with the liquid electoral tape and it looks real nice. I put marine silicone around the fixture before mounting it for water repellant.

 I tried it out with our spot light that works off the cig lighter attachment and it works fine. Looks like it has another use also, just need to watch the amp draw on that spot light for the wiring.

The anchor light we have is a low draw portable anchor light that uses a cig lighter attachment. We have two of them. The also offer now LED bulbs to replace the low draw bulbs for them. How low can you go!

It ended up a little crocked but please do not notice!😀
